"Recognised as one of the UK's leading marathons and voted 2nd best UK running event in 2004, the Loch Ness Marathon follows a spectacular point-to-point route through stunning Highland scenery, along the southern shores of Loch Ness, and then crosses the River Ness to finish in Inverness Queens Park Stadium. The Festival of Running also features a River Ness 10K and 5K Fun Run... Highlights include a fantastic pre-race Pasta Party and Festival at the finish with a Monster Highland BBQ, live music, massed pipes & drums, kids activities, entertainment and excellent goody bags."
