Notes from the Race Officials: "...a very fast, net-downhill, gently rolling, point-to-point course with few turns that follows an historic gold-miners route... to finish (in front of) the state capitol... The CIM is described by Runner's World Magazine as one of the World's Best Small Marathons (listing it in) the top five as a Boston Marathon qualifier. (Sacramento is located) close to wine country, Lake Tahoe and San Francisco... The CIM will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary on December 2, 2007 in grand style, with many extra perks for the entrants."
