Park Entrance
The Runners are entering the Bois de Boulogne, a vast wooded recreational area developed by Napoleon as a place to pursue his equestrian interests. Today, riders on horseback share the many paths with bikers, runners, walkers and just about anyone who enjoys nature. The marathon passes along the edges of the running path around Lac Inferior, a path our crew members have adopted for training while staying in Paris. (rs) |
