Mile 8-Forest of Vincennes
Mile 8 is opposite the Floral Park of Paris and the beginning of a stretch of wooded land that, during the middle ages, was a hunting paradise reserved for Kings and Noblemen. Today it
serves as a large park supporting horsemen, bikers, runners and, in the winter, skiers and tobogganers. The side paths that the marathon course passes lead down wooded trails to several spring fed lakes and a variety of organized sports facilities.
